How to deposit a check

To deposit a check:

  1. Navigate to Move Funds → Deposit → Check Deposit

  2. Follow the prompts to begin your deposit

  3. Upload photos of the front and back of your check

  4. Submit the deposit for review

Checks are deposited directly into your Arc operating account.

Endorsing your check

Before uploading photos, you must properly endorse the back of the check.

On the back of the check:

  • Sign your name

  • Write “For mobile deposit at Arc only” below your signature

Missing or incorrect endorsements may cause your deposit to be delayed or rejected.

Taking photos of your check

Successful check deposits rely on clear, legible images. When taking photos:

  • Upload photos of the actual physical check

  • Ensure all four corners of the check are visible

  • Place the check on a dark background

  • Take photos in a well-lit area

  • Make sure the amount, date, and account information are clearly readable

Poor image quality is one of the most common reasons check deposits fail.

When to expect funds

  • Check deposits are typically available within 5 business days

  • Deposits are reviewed before being credited to your account

Please keep the physical check for at least one week after the deposit has been processed and appears in your account, in case additional verification is needed.

Please note

  • Checks must be issued by a U.S. bank

  • Electronic or non-standard checks are not supported

If you run into any issues while depositing a check or have questions about a deposit, please contact Arc Support for assistance.
